Valuepark Terneuzen is planning to build an industrial estate for subcontractors
The Terneuzen Maintenance Park should be ready by the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010. The construction of the complex will cost approximately 6 million euros, and Valuepark has asked for a subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs for the execution of the plan; it is hoped that 150,000 euros of support will be received from the stimulation fund ‘Pieken in de Delta’. Besides subcontractors for Dow, the estate is to also host contracting firms that do work for Yara, Total and Cargill, for instance. Also, ROC Westerschelde and Hogeschool Zeeland will be offered the possibility of offering practical training in the park. Furthermore, the companies must be able to make use of each other’s spaces.
